Cancer is a dreadful disease which generally occurs due to the activation of oncogenes in the body which results in growth in multiple cell divisions. The cancer disease in women which happens due to the ovary cell is coined as the Ovarian Cancer. The cells might be from epithelium or lining and even from Fallopian tube.

The ovarian cancer is not so common among women as breast cancer and only 1.37 % of risk is associated with a woman that she will eventually have this disease.

There are two major reasons of this form of cancer, the first one is irregular mensuration cycle and another one is genetically influenced reason. If a woman has her mensuration cycle at an early age and also continues till a late age then she is at high risk of ovarian cancer. Higher is the ovulation, greater is the risk of cancer.
